Kamen Gechev
I have a PhD in Palestine Studies from the University of Exeter, UK. I have been conducting extensive research on the political, social, and cultural aspects of the Middle East and North Africa region, with a greater focus on the Levant. My field of study is Palestine Studies, and I am interested in human rights, international politics, and intercultural communication. My research topic is focused on the European Union’s foreign affairs and the work of the European External Action Service towards the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the region. My doctoral thesis was trying to evaluate the capability of the EEAS and the EU to reflect, learn, and change their policies. My previous academic degrees include an MA in Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies at the University of Exeter, an MA in Middle East and Mediterranean Studies at King’s College London, and a BA in International Relations and Politics at Coventry University.
Publishing my first book based on my PhD thesis is a work in progress.
In the meantime, here you will find opinions, essays, and articles on my topics of interest and expertise, which I will be posting periodically.
